Indian benchmark indices ended on a positive note on April 15.
Sensex ended 1,577.63 points up at 76,734.89, whereas Nifty concluded 500.00 points higher at 23,328.55.
IndusInd Bank, Shriram Finance, L&T, Tata Motors, Axis Bank were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were HUL and ITC.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 1,310.11 points up at 75,157.26, whereas Nifty concluded 429.40 points higher at 22,828.55.
Indian rupee ended 28 paise higher at 85.77 per dollar on Tuesday versus Friday’s close of 86.05.
