Mumbai: Sensex closed on February 18, 2020 at 161.31 points lower at 40,894.38. Similarly, Nifty ended 53.30 points down at 11,992.50.
Zee Entertainment, Coal India, BPCL, GAIL and Eicher Motors were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers include Bharti Infratel, Yes Bank, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel and Hindalco Industries.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on February 17, 2020 at 202.05 points lower at 41,055.69. Similarly, Nifty ended 67.65 points down at 12,045.80.
The rupee is trading at 71.492 against the dollar.
