Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex ended 161.41 points lower at 61,193.30, whereas Nifty concluded 57.80 points low at 18,089.85.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 242.27 points higher at 61,354.71, whereas Nifty concluded 82.65 points high at 18,147.65.
Most sectoral indices ended in the red with PSU Bank, IT and Metal closing around a per cent lower.
