Mumbai: Sensex closed on February 10 at 162.23 points lower at 40,979.62. Similarly, Nifty ended 66.85 points down at 12,031.50.
Zee Entertainment, M&M, Tata Steel, Grasim Industries and Bharti Infratel were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were UPL, Bajaj Finance, TCS, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Reliance Industries.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on February 07 at 164.18 points lower at 41,141.85. Similarly, Nifty ended 39.60 points down at 12,098.35.
The rupee is trading at 71.345 against the dollar.
