Indian equity indices ended on positive note on January 14.
Sensex ended 169.62 points higher at 76,499.63, whereas Nifty concluded 90.10 points up at 23,176.05.
Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, NTPC, Hindalco and Shriram Finance were among the major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included HCL Tech, HUL, Apollo Hospitals, Titan Company and TCS.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 1,048.90 points lower at 76,330.01, whereas Nifty concluded 345.55 points down at 23,085.95.
Indian rupee ended at fresh record low at 86.64 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 86.58.
