Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today amid global sell-off due to geopolitical tension between Russia and the West over Ukraine. Sensex closed, on February 12, 1,747.08 points lower at 56,405.84. Nifty ended 560.75 points lower at 16,814.00.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on February 11, 773.11 points lower at 58,152.92. Nifty ended 231.10 points lower at 17,374.75.
JSW Steel, HDFC Life, ITC, Tata Steel and Tata Motors were the top Nifty losers, while the only gainer was TCS.
