Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 27th August at 175.62 points higher at 56,124.72. Nifty ended 68.30 points higher at 16,705.20.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 26th August at 4.89 points higher at 55,949.10. Nifty ended 2.25 points higher at 16,636.90.
All the sectoral indices ended in the green with metals, pharma, IT, PSU banks and realty indices gaining the most.
