Indian equity indices ended lower for the third consecutive session on February 7.
Sensex ended 197.97 points lower at 77,860.19, whereas Nifty concluded 43.40 points down at 23,559.95.
ONGC, ITC, Britannia, SBI, Adani Ports are among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers are Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Trent, JSW Steel, Hindalco.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 213.12 points lower at 78,058.16, whereas Nifty concluded 92.95 points down at 23,603.35.
Indian rupee ended 15 paise higher at 87.42 per dollar on Friday versus Thursday close of 87.57.
