The domestic benchmark indices ended lower on January 16.
Sensex ended 199.16 points lower at 73,128.77, whereas Nifty concluded 65.15 points down at 22,032.30.
Top losers on the Nifty included Divis Laboratories, HCL Technologies, Wipro, NTPC and SBI Life Insurance, while gainers included BPCL, Tata Steel, Titan Company, ITC and Maruti Suzuki.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 759.48 points higher at 73,327.94, whereas Nifty concluded 202.90 points up at 22,097.45.
