Benchmark indices gave up all intraday gains on June 28 to end in the red amid high volatility.
Sensex ended 210.45 points lower at 79,032.73, whereas Nifty concluded 33.90 points down at 24,010.60.
Biggest Nifty gainers included ONGC, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Reliance Industries, SBI Life Insurance and Tata Motors, while losers were IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 568.93 points up at 79,243.18, whereas Nifty concluded 175.70 points up at 24,044.50.
