The equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty ended higher on May 22.
Sensex ended 267.75 points up at 74,221.06, whereas Nifty concluded 68.75 points higher at 22,597.80.
Cipla, Tata Consumer Products, Hindustan Unilever, Coal India, and Britannia led the gains in Nifty50 while Shriram Finance, Apollo Hospitals, Hero MotoCorp, Hindalco, and HDFC Life were the top decliners.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 52.62 points down at 73,953.31, whereas Nifty concluded 27.05 points higher at 22,529.05.
