Mumbai: Weak global cues weighed heavily on the Indian stock market today resulting Sensex, and Nifty ended in the red.
Sensex ended 286.06 points lower at 65,226.04, whereas Nifty concluded 92.65 points down at 19,436.10.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 316.30 points down at 65,512.10, whereas Nifty concluded 109.55 points low at 19,528.75.
The biggest losers on the Nifty were Axis Bank, SBI, IndusInd Bank, NTPC and UltraTech Cement, while gainers included Adani Enterprises, Nestle India, HUL, Eicher Motors and HDFC Bank.
