Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on 20th August at 300.17 points lower at 55,329.32. Nifty ended 118.35 points lower at 16,450.50.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 18th August at 162.78 points lower at 55,629.49. Nifty ended 45.75 points lower at 16,568.85.
HUL, Asian Paints, Nestle, Bajaj Finance and HDFC were the top gainers in Sensex. Tata Steel, SBI, Dr Reddys Labs Sun Pharma and Bajaj Auto were among the top losers.
