Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 04 January at 307 points higher at 48,176. Nifty ended 114 points higher at 14,132.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 01 January at 117.65 points higher at 47,868.98. Nifty ended 36.75 points higher at 14,018.50.
Tata Steel, Hindalco, Eicher Motors, ONGC and TCS were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Hero MotoCorp, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, Adani Ports and Asian Paints.
