Indian equity indices ended lower on February 03.
Sensex ended 319.22 points lower at 77,186.74, whereas Nifty concluded 121.10 points down at 23,361.05.
Biggest Nifty losers were L&T, ONGC, Bharat Electronics, Tata Consumers and Coal India, while gainers included Bajaj Finance, M&M, Wipro, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finserv.
In the previous season, the Nifty 50 index ended at 23,482.15, down by 26.25 points (-0.11 per cent), while the BSE Sensex settled at 77,505.96, gaining a marginal 5.39 points (+0.01 per cent).
Indian rupee ended 58 paise lower at fresh record low at 87.19 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 86.61.
