Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended with decent gains on Friday (September 29) as investors shifted focus to the RBI’s monetary policy outcome next week and the upcoming quarterly earnings. Sensex ended 320.09 points higher at 65,828.41, whereas Nifty concluded 114.75 points up at 19,638.30.
In the previous season, Sensex closed 610.37 points down at 65,508.32, whereas Nifty ended 192.90 points lower at 19,523.55.
Major gainers on the Nifty included Hindalco Industries, NTPC, Hero MotoCorp, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and Divis Lab, while losers were Adani Enterprises, LTIMindtree, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and Power Grid.
