Sensex ends 328 points higher, Nifty above 22,200

Indian stock market benchmarks, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, ended in positive territory for the third consecutive session on Tuesday, May 14, amid mixed global cues.

Sensex ended 328.48 points up at 73,104.61, whereas Nifty concluded 113.80 points higher at 22,217.85.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, JSW Steel, NTPC, IndusInd Bank and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries were the major gainers. Tata Consultancy Services, Nestle India, Axis Bank, Asian Paints, ITC and ICICI Bank were the biggest laggards.

In the previous season, Sensex ended 111.66 points up at 72,776.13, whereas Nifty concluded 48.85 points higher at 22,104.05.
