Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed higher today. Sensex closed on 8th March at 35.75 points lower at 50,441.07. Nifty ended 18.10 points high at 14,956.20.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 5th March at 440.76 points lower at 50,405.32. Nifty ended 142.65 points low at 14,938.10.
UPL, GAIL, L&T, ONGC and SBI Life Insurance were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Shree Cements, Bajaj Finance, UltraTech Cement, IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Auto.
