The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. On May 31, Sensex closed 359.33 points lower at 55,566.41. Nifty ended 76.85 points low at 16,584.55.
In the previous season, on May 30, Sensex closed 1,041.08 points higher at 55,925.74. Nifty ended 308.95 points high at 16,661.40.
Among the sectors, selling was seen in power and financial names while buying was seen in realty, metals and auto stocks.
