Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed, on March 3, 366.22 points lower at 55,102.68. Nifty ended 107.90 points lower at 16,498.05.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on March 2, 778.38 points lower at 55,468.90. Nifty ended 187.95 points lower at 16,605.95.
UltraTech Cement, Asian Paints, HDFC Life, Shree Cements and Eicher Motors were among the top Nifty losers. Gainers were ONGC, UPL, Power Grid Corp, Wipro and Tech Mahindra.
