The equity benchmark indices ended higher on Tuesday.
Sensex ended 378.18 points higher at 80,802.86, whereas Nifty concluded 126.20 points up at 24,698.85.
Biggest Nifty gainers included SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life, Bajaj Finserv, Shriram Finance and IndusInd Bank, while losers were ONGC, Bharti Airtel, Adani Enterprises, Cipla and Apollo Hospitals.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 12.16 points lower at 80,424.68, whereas Nifty concluded 31.50 points up at 24,572.65.
