Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed, on February 28, 388.76 points higher at 56,247.28. Nifty ended 135.50 points higher at 16,793.90.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on February 25, 1,328.61 points higher at 55,858.52. Nifty ended 410.45 points higher at 16,658.40.
Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Power Grid Corporation, JSW Steel and BPCL were among gainers on the Nifty, while losers included HDFC Life, Dr Reddy’s Labs, M&M, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank.
