Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on January 21 at 427.44 points lower at 59,037.18. Nifty ended 139.85 points lower at 17,617.15.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on January 20 at 634.20 points lower at 59,464.62. Nifty ended 160.55 points lower at 17,777.85.
Bajaj Finserv, Tech M, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, and Axis Bank were the top large-cap draggers while Zee Entertainment, Canara Bank, Concor, Info Edge, Sasken Technologies, Hindustan Oil Exploration, and Polycab India were the mid- and small-cap losers.
