Indian benchmark indices ended lower on July 10.
Sensex ended 426.87 points lower at 79,924.77, whereas Nifty concluded 108.75 points down at 24,324.45.
Biggest losers on the Nifty were M&M, Tata Steel, TCS, Hindalco Industries and Hero MotoCorp, while gainers included Asian Paints, SBI Life Insurance, Divis Labs, HDFC Life and Grasim Industries.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 391 points higher at 80,351.64, whereas Nifty concluded 112 points up at 24,433.20.
