Indian benchmark indices ended on lower note on Wednesday.
Sensex ended 426.85 points lower at 79,942.18, whereas Nifty concluded 126.00 points down at 24,340.85.
Top losers on the Nifty included Cipla, Shriram Finance, HDFC Life, Trent, SBI Life Insurance, while gainers were Adani Enterprises, Tata Consumer, Hero MotoCorp, Britannia Industries and Maruti Suzuki.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 363.99 points up at 80,369.03, whereas Nifty concluded 127.70 points higher at 24,466.85.
Indian rupee ended flat at 84.08 per dollar on Wednesday versus Tuesday’s close of 84.07.
