Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended higher on Tuesday. Sensex closed on August 25, 2020 at 44.80 points high at 38,843.88. Nifty ended 5.80 points higher at 11,472.25.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on August 24, 2020 at 364.36 points high at 38,799.08. Nifty ended 94.85 points higher at 11,466.45.
Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance, SBI, Tech Mahindra and Asian Paints were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were GAIL, Sun Pharma, NTPC, Shree Cements and Hero MotoCorp.
