Mumbai: Equity Indices ended on higher note today. On September 5, Sensex closed 442.65 points higher at 59,245.98. Nifty ended 126.35 points higher at 17,665.80.
In the previous season, on September 2, Sensex closed 36.74 points higher at 58,803.33. Nifty ended 3.35 points lower at 17,539.45.
In the Nifty 50 index, the biggest gainers were Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel, ITC, NTPC and Sun Pharma. Among the biggest losers were Bajaj Auto, Nestle India, Britannia Industries and Apollo Hospitals.
