Indian equity indices ended on a positive note on December 02.
Sensex ended 445.29 points higher at 80,248.08, whereas Nifty concluded 144.95 points up at 24,276.05.
Biggest Nifty gainers were UltraTech Cement, Apollo Hospitals, Grasim Industries, JSW Steel and Shriram Finance, while losers included HDFC Life, Cipla, NTPC, SBI Life Insurance, L&T.
Indian rupee ended at fresh record closing low at 84.70 per dollar on Monday, down 21 paise from Friday’s close of 84.49.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 759.05 points higher at 79,802.79, whereas Nifty concluded 216.95 points up at 24,131.10.
