Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed higher today. Sensex closed on 22 December at 452.73 points higher at 46,006.69. Nifty ended 137.90 points high at 13,466.30.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 21 December at 1,406.73 points lower at 45,553.96. Nifty ended 432.15 points low at 13,328.40.
Adani Ports, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Infosys and GAIL were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, HDFC, IndusInd Bank and Hindalco.
