Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on 20 October at 456.09 points lower at 61,259.96. Nifty ended 152.15 points lower at 18,266.60.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 19 October at 49.54 points lower at 61,716.05. Nifty ended 58.30 points lower at 18,418.75.
Hindalco, Titan Company, HUL, BPCL and Bajaj Finserv were among the major Nifty losers. Gainers included Bharti Airtel, SBI, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank and Axis Bank.
