Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 18 October at 459.64 points higher at 61,765.59. Nifty ended 138.50 points higher at 18,477.05.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 14 October at 568.90 points higher at 61,305.95. Nifty ended 176.80 points higher at 18,338.55.
Hindalco Industries, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, JSW Steel and Tata Steel were among major gainers on the Nifty. Losers included HCL Technologies, M&M, Asian Paints, Britannia Industries and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories.
