Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on December 28 at 477.24 points higher at 57,897.48. Nifty ended 147.00 points higher at 17,233.25.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on December 27 at 295.93 points higher at 57,420.24. Nifty ended 82.50 points higher at 17,086.25.
Asian Paints, M&M, Titan Company, UltraTech Cement and Sun Pharma were among the top Nifty gainers. Losers were IndusInd Bank, Power Grid and ICICI Bank.
