Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 07th October at 488.10 points higher at 59,677.83. Nifty ended 144.35 points higher at 17,790.35.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 06th October at 555.15 points lower at 59,189.73. Nifty ended 176.30 points lower at 17,646.00.
Tata Motors, Titan Company, M&M, Maruti Suzuki and Eicher Motors were among the major gainers on the Nifty. ONGC, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Coal India, Britannia and HDFC were among the big gainers.
