Benchmark indices ended higher on December 1.
Sensex ended 492.75 points up at 67,481.19, whereas Nifty concluded 134.75 points higher at 20,267.90.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 86.53 points up at 66,988.44, whereas Nifty concluded 36.55 points higher at 20,133.15.
Biggest gainers on the Nifty included NTPC, ITC, L&T, Britannia Industries and Axis Bank, while losers were Hero MotoCorp, HDFC Life, Wipro, M&M and SBI Life Insurance.
