Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended lower on Tuesday. Sensex closed on September 08, 2020 at 51.88 points low at 38,365.35. Nifty ended 37.70 points low at 11,317.35.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on September 07, 2020 at 60.05 points high at 38,417.23. Nifty ended 21.20 points high at 11,355.05.
BPCL, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Infosys and Reliance Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Bharti Infratel, Tata Motors, Zee Entertainment, Hindalco Industries and Tata Steel.
