Indian equity indices broke 2-day losing streak and ended higher on January 28.
Sensex ended 535.23 points higher at 75,901.41, whereas Nifty concluded 128.10 points up at 22,957.25.
Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finance were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Sun Pharma, Britannia Industries, Eicher Motors, Grasim Industries, L&T.
In the previous season, Sensex fell by 824.29 points, closing at 75,366.17, while the Nifty dropped 263.05 points to close at 22,829.15.
Indian rupee ended 20 paise lower at 86.53 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 86.33.
