Mumbai: Equity Indices ended on higher note today. On August 24, Sensex closed 54.13 points higher at 59,085.43. Nifty ended 27.45 points up at 17,604.95.
In the previous season, on August 23, Sensex closed 257.43 points higher at 59,031.30. Nifty ended 86.80 points up at 17,577.50.
Apollo Hospitals, IndusInd Bank, ONGC, NTPC and ICICI Bank were among the major Nifty gainers. The losers included BPCL, Tata Steel, Divis Laboratories, Sun Pharma and TCS.
