Indian benchmark indices ended on a positive note on January 22.
Sensex ended 566.63 points higher at 76,404.99, whereas Nifty concluded 130.70 points up at 23,155.35.
Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma are among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers are Bharat Electronics, Tata Motors, Trent, Axis Bank and Power Grid.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 1,235.08 points lower at 75,838.36, whereas Nifty concluded 320.10 points down at 23,024.65.
Indian rupee ended 25 paise higher at 86.33 per dollar on Wednesday versus Tuesday’s close of 86.58.
