Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 13th August at 593.31 points higher at 55,437.29. Nifty ended 164.70 points higher at 16,529.10.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 12th August at 318.05 points higher at 54,843.98. Nifty ended 82.15 points higher at 16,364.40.
Tata Consumer Products, TCS, L&T, Bharti Airtel and HCL Technologies were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Eicher Motors, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Cipla, Power Grid Corp and Britannia Industries.
