Indian equity indices extended the gains on third consecutive session on December 03.
Sensex ended 597.67 points higher at 80,845.75, whereas Nifty concluded 181.10 points up at 24,457.15.
Top Nifty gainers included Adani Ports, NTPC, Adani Enterprises, Axis Bank and SBI, while losers were Bharti Airtel, ITC, Hero MotoCorp, HDFC Life, and Sun Pharma.
Indian rupee ended flat at 84.69 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 84.70.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 445.29 points higher at 80,248.08, whereas Nifty concluded 144.95 points up at 24,276.05.
