Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on December 22 at 611.55 points higher at 56,930.56. Nifty ended 184.60 points higher at 16,955.45.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on December 21 at 497.00 points higher at 56,319.01. Nifty ended 174.70 points higher at 16,788.90.
Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors, Divis Laboratories, Bajaj Finance and Eicher Motors were among the top Nifty gainers. Losers Power Grid Corporation, SBI Life Insurance, Wipro, Adani Ports and IOC.
