The equity benchmark indices ended higher on August 26.
Sensex ended 611.90 points higher at 81,698.11, whereas Nifty concluded 187.45 points up at 25,010.60.
Biggest Nifty gainers were Hindalco, NTPC, HCL Technologies, Bajaj Finserv and ONGC, while losers included Apollo Hospitals, Hero MotoCorp, Adani Ports, Eicher Motors and Maruti Suzuki.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 33.02 points higher at 81,086.21, whereas Nifty concluded 11.65 points up at 24,823.15.
