Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed higher today. Sensex closed on 08 February at 617.14 points higher at 51,348.77. Nifty ended 191.55 points high at 15,115.80.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 05 February at 117.34 points higher at 50,731.63. Nifty ended 28.60 points high at 14,924.25.
M&M, Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors, Shree Cements and JSW Steel were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Britannia Industries, HUL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Divis Labs and Bajaj Finance.
