Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on December 1 at 619.92 points higher at 57,684.79. Nifty ended 183.70 points higher at 17,166.90.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on November 30 at 195.71 points lower at 57,064.87. Nifty ended 70.75 points lower at 16,983.20.
IndusInd Bank, JSW Steel, Tata Motors, Adani Ports and Axis Bank were among the major Nifty gainers. The losers included Cipla, Divis Labs, Dr Reddy’s Labs, UltraTech Cement and Sun Pharma.
