Equity Indices ended on lower note today. On August 19, Sensex closed 651.85 points lower at 59,646.15. Nifty ended 267.75 points lower at 17,490.70.
In the previous season, on August 18, Sensex closed 37.87 points higher at 60,298.00. Nifty ended 12.25 points higher at 17,956.50.
IndusInd Bank, Apollo Hospitals, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors and Hindalco Industries were among the major Nifty losers. The gainers were Adani Ports, L&T, Infosys, Eicher Motors and Bajaj Auto.
