Indian equity indices ended on a lower note in on May 29.
Sensex ended 667.55 points down at 74,502.90, whereas Nifty concluded 183.45 points down at 22,704.70.
Biggest Nifty losers included HDFC Life, SBI Life Insurance, ICICI Bank, Tata Consumer Products and Tech Mahindra, while gainers were Hindalco, Power Grid Corp, Divis Labs, Nestle and Sun Pharma.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 220.05 points down at 75,170.45, whereas Nifty concluded 44.30 points down at 22,888.15.
