Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed, on February 23, 68.62 points lower at 57,232.06. Nifty ended 28.95 points lower at 17,063.25.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on February 22, 382.91 points lower at 57,300.68. Nifty ended 114.45 points lower at 17,092.20.
The benchmark remained in the green throughout the day in a broad range, but slipped into red in the fag end as volatility seeped in ahead of monthly F&O expiry.
