Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed, on March 22, 696.81 points higher at 57,989.30. Nifty ended 197.90 points higher at 17,315.50.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on March 21, 571.44 points lower at 57,292.49. Nifty ended 174.20 points lower at 17,112.85.
Tech Mahindra, BPCL, Tata Motors, Reliance Industries and IOC were among the top Nifty gainers, while losers were HUL, Nestle India, Britannia Industries, Cipla and Divis Lab.
