Mumbai: Sensex closed on December 5, 2019, at 70.70 points lower at 40,779.59. Similarly, Nifty ended 24.80 points down at 12,018.40.
Zee Entertainment, TCS, ITC, L&T and Britannia Industries were among the top gainers today on Nifty. While JSW Steel, Coal India, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank and Tata Steel were among the top losers today.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on December 4, 2019, at 174.84 points higher at 40,850.29. Similarly, Nifty ended 49.00 points up at 12,043.20.
The rupee is trading at 71.410 against the dollar.
