The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. On April 19, Sensex closed 703.59 points lower at 56,463.15. Nifty ended 215.00 points lower at 16,958.65.
In the previous season, On April 18, Sensex closed 1,172.19 points lower at 57,166.74. Nifty ended 302.00 points lower at 17,173.65.
HDFC, HDFC Life, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Bank and Tata Consumer Products were among the top Nifty losers. Apollo Hospitals, Coal India, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank and BPCL were the top gainers.
